BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 24. The economic regions of Azerbaijan where food products and services saw the highest price increases in November this year have been revealed.

The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee shows that in the reporting month, the highest price increase for food, beverages, and tobacco products was recorded in the Ganja-Dashkasan economic region (up by 1.9 percent compared to the same period last year), while non-food products saw the highest price increase in Baku (up by 1.6 percent compared to the same period last year).

During the same period, the lowest price increase for food, beverages, and tobacco products was observed in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (up by 0.5 percent compared to the same period last year), while the lowest price increase for non-food products was in the Absheron-Khizi economic region (down by 0.7 percent compared to the same period last year).

To note, the consumer price index in Azerbaijan for 11 months of 2024 grew by two percent compared to the same period last year, including for food, drinks, and tobacco products (one percent), non-food products (1.5 percent), and paid services to the population (3.8 percent).
