The number of enterprises and organizations in the construction sector in Tashkent as of March 1, 2021 increased by 1,300 compared to the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Tashkent’s administration.
According to Tashkent’s administration, the number of construction enterprises and organizations in Tashkent for the reporting period amounted to 8,539.
In the structure of districts, the largest number of construction enterprises and organizations in Tashkent as of March 1 was noted in Yunusabad district, amounting to 1,114 enterprises.
At the same time, only 169 construction enterprises operated during the reported period in the Yangikhayot district of Tashkent.
The administration noted that the main factor in the increase in the number of enterprises and organizations in the construction sector in Tashkent is the increase in the volume of work in this direction.
It is reported that the volume of work on the construction of buildings and structures increased by 13.7 percent compared to the previous year (share in the total volume of construction – 50 percent).
Also, construction works of civil facilities and specialized construction work increased by 25.7 percent and 21.1 percent, respectively (share in the total volume of construction - 43.5 percent and 6.5 percent, respectively)
In addition, it is reported that construction work worth three trillion soums ($280 million) was completed in Tashkent in 2M2021, which is 4.1 percent more than in 2M2020.
