Azerbaijan announced investment contest for sale of shares of wine products manufacturer

The Azerbaijani State Committee on Property has announced an investment contest for sale of shares of the manufacturer of wine products JSC Calilabad Sharab, the State Committee said today.

A 99.97 -percent-stake of the company is on sale. The contest is open to Azerbaijan's physical and legal entities and foreign investors.

Applicants must submit an investment program that includes suggestions for creating new areas for planting grapes, organization of primary processing of grapes at the up-to-date level, the introduction of modern laboratory equipment to monitor product quality according to international standards, increasing the range of goods, restoring jobs.

Applicants must present a bank guarantee for five percent of the cost of the investment proposal, proposals for the transfer of 550,000 manat to the state budget.

JSC Calilabad Sharab, specializing in primary processing of grape and wine production, is located in Jalilabad region.

As of April 1, the authorized capital of the enterprise is 3.063 million manat. The subject of the competition is 765ç477 shares with total nominal value of 3ç062 manat.

As of April 1, the company has debts amounting to 472,973 manat, with debts for raw materials, work and services amounted to 300,91, debts on payment of wages - 30,249 manat. The company's accounts receivable amount to 26.371 manat. The plant was commissioned in 1981-1983.

Applicants can review the requirements of competition, privatization plans and get more information from 10:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m. until May 24, 2010 at the address: Baku, st. Y. Safarov, 20. Documents and proposals are accepted from 10:00 a.m. to 05:30 p.m. until May 24.

Proposals will be reviewed by the commission in the building of the State Committee May 26, 2010 from 11:00 a.m.
