BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 10. Iran's imports from Uzbekistan increased by 22.4 percent in value and 95.9 percent in volume, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Trend reports.
As indicated in the data of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran imported a total of 13,600 tons of goods worth $17.3 million from Uzbekistan for 3 months.
Meanwhile, in the same period of last Iranian year, Iran's imports from Uzbekistan amounted to nearly 6,950 tons worth $14.1 million.
In the 3rd month of the current Iranian year alone (May 22 through June 21, 2023), Iran imported 8,470 tons of goods worth $8.82 million from Uzbekistan.
Iran mainly imported cotton, beans, silk, ammonium nitrate and, etc. from Uzbekistan within the mentioned period.
Overall, Iran imported 9.6 million tons of non-oil products worth $14 billion within the first three months of the current Iranian year.
This is an increase of 5.79 percent in value and 1 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last year.
