TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 6. Uzbekistan's Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) successfully fulfilled its planned export targets for January 2025, the AMMC told Trend.
In particular, AMMC shipped 2,700 tons of copper products to international consumers, exceeding the forecast by 8.4 percent.
Zinc product exports reached 1,500 tons, surpassing the forecast by 19.3 percent. Compared to the same period last year, the growth rate was 153.5 percent. A significant increase was also recorded in the export of copper sulfate, where the target was met at 101.7 percent, with a growth rate of 138.8 percent.
In total, AMMC exported products worth $28.8 million in January 2025, achieving 103.8 percent of the planned volume.
Meanwhile, the company continues to expand its export geography. Currently, AMMC supplies products to 19 countries. In 2024, new markets were explored, including Guinea, Senegal, Serbia, South Africa, and Portugal, where copper wire rod and copper sulfate were exported.
Looking ahead to 2025, AMMC plans to further expand its export geography by supplying products to Israel and Morocco.
