Iran's Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Shamseddin Hosseini says the country's non-oil exports have reached 32 billion dollars in the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (ending March 21, 2012), Press TV reported.
Hosseini said Wednesday that the amount shows a 33-percent rise, compared to last year's corresponding period.
He further said that despite problems, Iran's economic sector has witnessed considerable growth also in comparison with last year's figures.
Iran's non-oil export items mainly include gas condensates, mineral fuels, chemical products, plastics, fruits, nuts, carpets and fertilizers.
In early October, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced his administration's plans to boost the value of the nation's non-oil exports to $60 billion by March 2013.
