BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 13. Construction of the Southern Cargo Terminal of Azerbaijan Railways, an important component of the North-South transport corridor located in the Iranian city of Astara, is nearing completion, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Shahin Mustafayev said, Trend reports.
He made the remark at a trilateral meeting with representatives of the Russian Federation and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Deputy Prime Minister recalled that in December 2023, a new road bridge and checkpoint across the Astarachay River on the Azerbaijani-Iranian border were put into operation.
