As many as 35 dams, facilities for water supply of cities and villages, water filtration centers, sewerage, thermal power plants and renewable power plants have been commissioned in 13 provinces of Iran, Minister of Energy of Iran Reza Ardakanian said, Trend reports the ministry.
The minister noted that more than 113 trillion rials (about $2.69 billion) have been spent on the commissioning of these facilities.
He added that a number of facilities will be commissioned with an investment of 27 trillion rials in Iran's Hormozgan Province by the end of the week (the week begins on Saturday in Iran). Water supply of Bandar Abbas and Bashagard counties, commissioning of a thermal power plant on the Qeshm Island are among the facilities to be commissioned.
Ardakanian stressed that including these facilities, 42 facilities with an investment of 140 trillion rials (about $3.33 billion) will be commissioned.
The minister said that with the commissioning of the pipeline to pump water from the Mamlo dam to Pishva county, about 1,150 people were provided with water.
The pipeline for pumping of water from Mamlo dam to Pishva county was put into operation with an investment of 460 billion rials (about $10.9 million) today on June 13. The construction of the 7th and 8th phases of the sewage filtration center has begun in the south of Tehran Province. About 6.4 trillion rials (about $152 million) will be spent on the construction of these phases and will be commissioned in 2024.
