ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, January 8. Turkmenistan produced over 10.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the Lebap region located in the east of the country over the past year, Trend reports.
At the same time, the production plan for natural gas production in the eastern region of the country was exceeded back in November, when the injection reached more than 9.8 billion cubic meters.
Part of the extracted fuel was exported to the Chinese market through the Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline.
Special attention is paid to the production of liquefied natural gas, for which major repairs are being carried out at terminals in Nayip and Gazojak for receiving and storing LNG.
Meanwhile, gas production in Turkmenistan is forecast to exceed 80 billion cubic meters in 2023. Turkmengaz is expected to account for about 73 billion cubic meters of this production, and exports are projected to amount to approximately 40 billion cubic meters.
