DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, December 10. Bashkortostan, a republic in Russia, will implement a pilot project aimed at creating infrastructure for exporters to Tajikistan, Arthur Galiullin, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Licensing in Foreign Trade at Russia's Ministry of Industry and Trade, announced during the International Business Week in Ufa, Trend reports.

According to Galiullin, Bashkortostan is participating in a pilot project that is part of the broader federal program on the creation of overseas infrastructure, aimed at developing infrastructure for exporters in friendly countries, with Tajikistan being the first country involved.

The program offers two key support mechanisms: preferential loans or discounts for establishing industrial presence points, as well as capital investment mechanisms.

The Tajik side will provide facilities in Dushanbe, which will be renovated to establish an industrial park to support Russian business development.

However, Galiullin emphasized that this is not a state-led construction project abroad nor the creation of government-owned facilities outside Russia. According to him, the primary focus will be on addressing the specific business interests in each Russian-friendly country, with government support to ensure the commercial success of the projects overall.

The draft federal budget of Russia envisages 2.8 billion rubles (approximately $27.8 million) for the federal project on the creation of foreign infrastructure in 2025-2027.
