BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 12. The volume of cotton yarn exports by enterprises of the Lebap region of Turkmenistan from January through July 2022 has been announced, Trend reports via “Business Turkmenistan” news agency.
During this period, the enterprises of the region exported 6,100 tons of cotton yarn.
In value terms, the enterprises of the region exported cotton yarn in the amount of 101.3 million Turkmen manats ($28.9 million).
The products of the enterprises of the Lebap region were exported to the UAE and Türkiye.
Turkmenistan plans to allocate more than $300 million for the implementation of over 30 projects in the textile industry by 2025.
In general, over the years of independence, about $2 billion were invested in the construction of new and reconstruction of existing textile enterprises.
