The Azerbaijani Education Ministry is working with Health Ministry experts to prepare an action plan to prevent suicides among schoolchildren, Education Minister Misir Mardanov told journalists today.
According to the ministry head, suicides mostly often occur in troubled families. Suicide is often committed by sick children, he added.
In the first three months of 2010, 12 schoolchildren committed suicide. In 2009, 29 teenage pupils and one minor committed suicide.
