After transferring the Press Ombudsman's authorities to the Human Rights Ombudsman, consultations are being held to define the institution's structure, Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova told journalists on Friday.
She said the ombudsman institution will be restructured.
Suleymanova said she is a supporter of journalists and specialists working to define the structure's activity.
She expressed confidence that discussions will give positive results, and said the main goal is to create conditions for the effective execution of the law on the right to receive information.
Parliament adopted a draft law to make amendments and additions to the law on the human rights ombudsman in December 2010.
In accordance with these amendments, the Press Ombudsman's authorities were transferred to human rights ombudsman.
