BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 15. In 2023, Snam's total investments reached 2.194 billion euros, compared to 1.926 billion euros in 2022, Trend reports.
According to the company's recent financial report, of these, 29 percent were in alignment with the European Taxonomy, and 61 percent were in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
Among these investments, 1.774 billion euros were allocated to technical investments, marking an increase of 423 million euros compared to 2022 (+31.3 percent). This uptick reflects heightened spending in the gas infrastructure sector, particularly in upgrading projects at the Ravenna and Piombino terminals.
Technical investments primarily encompassed the transport segment (1.139 billion euros), regasification (256 million euros), and storage (225 million euros), while investments in energy transition initiatives totaled 127 million euros.
Total investments also included 331 million euros for the acquisition of the FSRU BW Singapore and an additional 410 million euros for the purchase of a 49.9 percent stake in SeaCorridor.
