BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 7. The export of non-oil products from Iran's Lorestan province decreased during six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024), Director General of Lorestan Province Customs Administration Hasan Huseyni told reporters, Trend reports.
He explained that this figure lowered by 97.3 percent in value and 32 percent in weight terms compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through September 22, 2023).
The official pointed out that 56,000 tons of non-oil products worth $56 million were exported from Lorestan province during six months this year.
Huseyni pointed out that the province sent a smorgasbord of 55 product types packing, including catalysts, dry milk, polyethylene granule, steel, ferrosilicon, motor oil, and more, across borders during this stretch.
"Meanwhile, the main export destinations during this period were Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Slovenia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Türkiye," he added.
To note, Iran exported 70 million tons of non-oil products worth $25.8 billion during the six months, meaning growth of 6.5 percent in value and 3.5 percent in weight compared to the same period last year.
