BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 5. Car manufacturing enterprises operating in industrial zones administered by the Economic Zones Development Agency of Azerbaijan sold over 60 percent of the produced cars from January through September 2024, compared to the same period last year, Trend reports via the agency.
According to the Agency, since 2018, a total of 360 million manat ($211.7 million) worth of vehicles have been sold across the country's industrial zones, with 2024 data included.
In the first nine months of 2024, the Hajigabul Industrial Park sold 1901 cars worth 53.8 million manat ($31.6 million), and the Neftchala Industrial District - 1072 cars worth 25.9 million manat ($15.2 million).
According to the agency, this represents an increase of approximately 60 percent compared to the same period last year.
During the said period, the industrial zones produced Chevrolet, Isuzu, VGV, UAZ, Lada, Khazar, etc. cars.
