BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 10. A total of 152 business entities with an investment portfolio exceeding 7.9 billion manat ($4.6 billion) have been granted residency and 10 entrepreneurs - non-resident status in Azerbaijan's industrial zones.
Data obtained by Trend from the Agency for Development of Economic Zones of Azerbaijan shows that to date, entrepreneurs have invested more than 6.9 billion manats ($4 billion) in the country's industrial zones, 84 enterprises have started their activities, and more than 10,700 permanent jobs have been created.
Additionally, in the next phase of existing projects, over one billion manat ($590 million) is expected to be invested in the industrial zones, with the creation of more than 8,000 permanent jobs.
