BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 3. The total amount of loans extended to large business entities in Azerbaijan reached 8.33 billion manat ($4.90 billion) by the end of February 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank (CBA) indicates that this represents an increase of 77 million manat ($45.2 million), or 0.9 percent, compared to the end of January.
As of the end of January 2025, the amount of loans granted to large business entities stood at 8.25 billion manat ($4.85 billion).
The total business loan portfolio of banks in Azerbaijan amounted to 14.7 billion manat ($8.6 billion) by the end of February. This marked a 0.5 percent increase, or 68 million manat ($40 billion), from the end of January. At the end of January, the business credit portfolio was 14.7 billion manat ($8.6 billion).
A total of 868 large commercial organizations were operating in Azerbaijan as of January 1, 2025.
The majority of these large businesses operate in trade and vehicle repair (194 entities), while the least are engaged in other sectors (3 entities).
