BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 10. The consumer price index for food products, beverages, and tobacco products in Azerbaijan in March 2025 increased by 101.2 percent compared to the previous month, and by 105.7 percent from January through March compared to the same period of the previous year.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that there was a significant price increase in certain food items in March 2025, including fish and fish products, milk and dairy products, table margarine, butter, sunflower and corn oils, lemons, oranges, bananas, apples, pears, kiwis, walnuts, hazelnuts, cabbage, broccoli, tomatoes, sweet peppers, eggplants, table beets, carrots, garlic, onions, potatoes, coffee, cocoa, carbonated and non-carbonated water, and cigarettes. Meanwhile, prices for flour, eggs, greens, and cucumbers decreased. There were no significant changes in the prices of other food products.
Moreover, the consumer price index for non-food products was 100.1 percent in March 2025 compared to the previous month, and 102.7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
In March 2025, there was a price increase in non-food products, such as bricks, cement, orthopedic mattresses, furniture, and jewelry, while household appliances, mobile phones, and televisions saw price decreases. No significant changes were observed in the prices of other non-food products.
In March 2025, the overall consumer price index in Azerbaijan was 100.6 percent compared to the previous month, and 105.6 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
