BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 5. The total amount of loans granted to large business entities in Azerbaijan reached 8.36 billion manat ($4.91 billion) by the end of March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) indicates that this marks an increase of 64 million manat ($37.6 million), or 0.8 percent, compared to the beginning of the year, when the credit volume stood at 8.29 billion manat ($4.8 billion) in January 2025.
Meanwhile, the total business credit portfolio of Azerbaijani banks amounted to 14.9 billion manat ($8.7 billion) by the end of March 2025.
To note, 867 large business entities were operating in Azerbaijan as of April 1, 2025, accounting for 0.4 percent of the total number of commercial organizations in the country. The majority of these entities are engaged in sectors such as "Trade and Vehicle Repair" (22.5 percent), "Manufacturing" (13.6 percent), "Construction" (13.0 percent), and "Transport and Storage" (6.9 percent).
