BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 13. The products with the biggest price increases and decreases in Azerbaijan in April 2025 compared to the previous month have been announced.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee shows that compared to the previous month, the largest increase in price of individual food products was observed in the prices of semolina, table margarine, butter, sunflower and corn oils, lemons, oranges, bananas, apples, pears, broccoli, sweet peppers, table beets, onions, potatoes, coffee, cocoa, and carbonated and non-carbonated waters, while the decrease was observed in the prices of flour, buckwheat, eggs, walnuts, hazelnuts, chestnuts, cabbage, greens, cucumbers, and garlic.
Meanwhile, the prices of other food products didn't significantly change.
In April 2025, the consumer price index for non-food products was 100 percent compared to the previous month, and from January through April, it was 102.7 percent compared to the corresponding period of last year. This April, compared to the previous month, an increase in the price of non-food products was observed in the prices of shoes and jewelry, and a decrease in the price of furniture and writing paper.
No significant changes were recorded in the prices of other non-food products.
In April 2025, the consumer price index for paid services provided to the population was 100.2 percent compared to the previous month, and from January through April, it was 107.7 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In April, compared to the previous month, an increase in the price of paid services provided to the population was observed mainly in the prices of dry cleaning of clothes, dentistry, and passenger transportation services by air to the CIS countries, and a decrease in the price of passenger transportation services by air to other countries, except for the CIS countries. There were no significant changes in the prices of other paid services.
