Kyrgyz budget is likely to receive about 5.5 billion soms less than originally plane income, Economic Development and Trade Minister Akylbek Japarov informed the press conference at the news agency "24.kg" on Wednesday, April 8.
As to Japarov it is the impact of the world crisis on the economy of the country. Some export-oriented enterprises considered to be the large taxpayers have stopped or partially held up their production.
However, as the minister pointed, Kyrgyzstan suffered less from the world crisis than the number of other states. "The answer is diversification of our economy, and Kyrgyzstan - is an agrarian-service country," he said.
As of the first quarter of 2009, rates of the economic development decreased by about 0.9 percent. "We are alerted by the fact that the markets of our main trade partners in CIS-Russia and Kazakhstan - grow weaker and access to them hinders. We would like our neighbors to reach the bottom-line of the crisis as soon as possible, to finally begin its upward movement. But according to the experts, Russian economy like the economy of the EU will begin to recover in about 2-3 years," Akylbek Japarov said.
The minister pointed that Russian $450 million financial aid gives hope for the positive development of Kyrgyz economy. "The money will help us survive the effects of the crisis at first. We hope that the support will help us to create conditions for the stable economic growth. Of course if we do not waste the money, but apply it to the economy," the minister added.
