The Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers has approved a detailed master plan for preserving Baku's historical center, the cabinet reported today.
The decision was adopted on the basis of a proposal by the Icheri Sheher State Historical and Architectural Reserve, which was coordinated with the Economic Development Ministry, Culture and Tourism Ministry, State Town Planning and Architecture Committee and Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences.
The cabinet's decision came into force on the date of signing on Nov. 8.
A team of international experts has developed a master plan for managing and planning activities to implement common policies within the framework of a long-term strategy for conserving and protecting historic monuments.
