Iran's Khorasan Steel Company is increasing annual production despite power outages in Iran, the purchasing manager of Khorasan Steel Company Majid Iranmanesh told Trend.
Khorasan Steel Company includes four main production units. The rolling mill has a production capacity of 550,000 tons per year, but the production reached 650,000 tons in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021).
The current production capacity is around 600,000 to 603,000 tons per year, Majid Iranmanesh noted.
Two sponge iron manufacturing units have a production capacity of 800,000 tons each and currently produce around 800,000 to 830,000 tons per year. The pelletizing unit has an annual production capacity of 2.5 million tons, he stressed.
Iranmanesh said the manufactured pellets and sponge iron are usually sold on domestic market, and the company's steel ingot and rebar are exported.
