ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 26. Azerbaijan purchased a total of 1.32 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Turkmenistan from January through October this year, Trend reports.
According to the Azerbaijan State Statistics Committee, the cost of natural gas imports from Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan over the stipulated period was more than $189.62 million, which is 2.1 times greater than the cost in the first ten months of 2022.
In the first ten months of last year, Azerbaijan bought more than 702.4 million cubic meters of natural gas from Turkmenistan, totaling more than $89.22 million.
Furthermore, Azerbaijan purchased more than 2.14 billion cubic meters of natural gas worth $333.4 million from January through October of this year.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan imported more than 857 million cubic meters of natural gas from Turkmenistan in the previous year for a total of $110.8 million.
