BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 14. Compared to the same period in 2023, Azerbaijan's oil and condensate exports were 9.87 million tons in January–May of 2024, a decrease of 16 percent, the data of the State Customs Committee (SCC) said, Trend reports.
The exports amounted to 11.753 million tons of oil, including condensate, from January through May 2023.
According to the SCC, in the first five months of this year, revenue from oil exports (with condensate) totaled $6.2 billion.
However, for the same period in 2023, the country received $7.2 billion from the export of these liquid hydrocarbons.
Furthermore, Italy has long been Azerbaijan's primary oil supplier, followed by Israel, India, and the Czech Republic.
To note, based on data from customs declarations, Azerbaijan exported 26.05 million tons of oil worth $16.24 billion in 2023.
