Azerbaijan shares oil and gas production data for 1H2024

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 15. Azerbaijan produced 14.45 million tons of oil (including condensate) from January through June 2024, which is 4.9 percent less than the figure for the same period in 2023, Trend reports via the State Statistics Committee (SSC).

Marketable oil accounted for 14.42 million tons, showing a decrease of 4.9 percent.

As of July 1, 2024, there are 264,100 tons of oil in warehouses.

According to the SSC, Azerbaijan produced 25.08 billion cubic meters of gas from January through June 2024, which is 3.4 percent more than in the first six months of 2023. Of this volume, 19.14 billion cubic meters were marketable gas (for all categories of consumers), a 5.3 percent increase compared to 2023. The remaining volume of gas was injected into reservoirs to enhance oil recovery.

To note, Azerbaijan produced about 30 million tons of oil (with condensate) and 48 billion cubic meters of gas in 2023.
