Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend / The second Eurasian energy forum of KazEnergy began functioning in Astana on 6 September. The aim of the forum is to discuss issues of development of oil and gas energy resources, review information, development of proposals and recommendations as well as agreement of general approaches to create efficient functioning in the main economic sector of Kazakhstan.
The forum was opened by K.K.Masimov, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, and T.A.Kulibayv, Chairman of the KazEnergy Association. Speaking on the development in the oil and gas spheres the prime minister mentioned problems existing in the development of the Kashgan field.
The Kazakhstan government is ready to hold open discussions relating to the settlement of problems within the project, and prevent any illegal measures by those who attempt to violate the law and neglect the national interests of our country, Masimov said.
Kazakhstan is a trustful and stable partner to those countries which observe their liabilities. The Government of Kazakhstan will re-consider its position only if the country will not be able to implement its liabilities, the prime minister said.
The development of oil and gas energy spheres was discussed on the first day of the forum.
