BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 30. The largest share of loans issued to households in Azerbaijan as of July 31, 2024, amounted to 57.3 percent of the total volume of lending, Trend reports.
According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), the volume of loans issued to households increased by 2.9 billion manat ($1.7 billion), or 22.77 percent (from 12.7 billion manat ($7.4 billion) to 15.6 billion manat ($9.1 billion) year-on-year during the mentioned period.
Meanwhile, lending to the trade and services sector grew by 469.4 million manat ($276.1 million), or 13.77 percent, to 3.8 billion manat ($2.2 billion) against 3.4 billion manat ($2 billion) in the same period last year. The share of the trade and services sector in the total volume of lending amounted to 14.2 percent.

To note, the lending to the real sector of Azerbaijan's economy as of July 31, 2024, increased by 23.71 percent, or 5.2 billion manat ($3.05 billion) in comparison with the same period of 2023 (from 22 billion manat ($12.9 billion) to 27.2 billion manat ($16 billion).
