ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 7. The construction of the Kokshetau Thermal Power Plant in Kazakhstan will begin on September 10, said Kazakh Energy Minister Almassadam Satkaliyev, Trend reports.
"The construction of the Kokshetau TPP will begin on September 10. All issues related to the financing of the project have already been resolved. It is planned to use preferential terms to minimize the impact of tariffs on consumers. As the minister noted, construction will take place in two stages and will meet European standards.
On November 13, the energy ministers of Kazakhstan and Russia, Almassadam Satkaliyev and Nikolay Shulginov, signed a memorandum of cooperation on projects for the construction of three thermal power plants in Kazakhstan.
