ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 21. A document that will elevate the cooperation between Kazakhstan and Armenia to the level of a strategic partnership will be signed today, said Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during an expanded-format meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Astana, Trend reports via the press service of the Kazakh president.
Tokayev emphasized that bilateral trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, and scientific-educational contacts have been developing steadily. He noted that the interstate relations are genuinely constructive, with significant potential for further strengthening and expansion.
In turn, Pashinyan highlighted that his visit to Kazakhstan opens up new opportunities for further deepening bilateral relations and advancing them to the level of strategic partnership.
"Today, we had the opportunity to discuss the main directions for the further development of our cooperation with the President of Kazakhstan. I believe that, given the changes in the region, new opportunities are emerging for economic cooperation and strengthening transport links. I am confident that the existing potential in the transport sector should be fully realized, which will open up new opportunities for us," Pashinyan.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for cooperation in a wide range of areas, including trade, economic, and transit-transport sectors, investment cooperation, subsoil use, agriculture, digitalization and artificial intelligence implementation, healthcare, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties.
