ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 21. Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi plans to make a trip to Turkmenistan, the Moldovan Foreign Ministry said, Trend reports.
Over the phone talk with Turkmenistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, Popșoi reaffirmed Moldova’s support for Turkmenistan’s internationally recognized status of permanent neutrality.
The officials agreed to hold bilateral political consultations as a tool to strengthen dialogue and coordination on issues of mutual interest.
They also discussed key areas of cooperation between the two countries, noting the potential to deepen engagement, particularly in the energy sector.
Popșoi thanked Turkmenistan for the invitation to visit the country, saying the trip would help expand and energize Moldovan-Turkmen relations.
