TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 24. Uzbekistan and Estonia have signed an Intergovernmental Agreement on Readmission, Trend reports.
The document was signed between Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Margus Tsahkna on a meeting in Luxembourg.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed joint efforts to expand trade and economic cooperation, promote joint projects with leading companies, as well as introduce advanced Estonian experience in the field of digital technologies in Uzbekistan.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov held a number of meetings in Luxembourg within the framework of a working visit for participation in the 19th EU-Central Asia Ministerial Meeting.
The event was attended by representatives of all EU countries, as well as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The main purpose of this meeting was to discuss issues of cooperation and search for solutions to current problems.
Moreover, during the visit, Uzbekistan’s foreign minister also met with Vice President of European Investment Bank Teresa Czerwińska to discuss strengthening of cooperation in many promising areas, including macroeconomic development and green energy, as well as opening of EIB representative office in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent.
