TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, December 6. Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover with Kyrgyzstan totaled $675.6 million from January through October 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the country's Statistics Agency indicates a decrease of 20.5 percent when compared to the same period last year ($814.1 million from January through October 2023).
Kyrgyzstan became one of the 15 largest trade partners of Uzbekistan over the reporting period.
Uzbekistan's exports to Kyrgyzstan totaled $444.8 million, which is 27.3 percent less compared to last year ($566.5 million from January through October 2023).
Moreover, Uzbekistan's imports from Kyrgyzstan reached $230.8 million from January through October 2024. This indicator decreased by 7.2 percent compared to the same period last year ($247.6 million from January through October 2023).
To note, the volume of Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $54.3 billion in the period from January through October 2024. This indicator increased by 6.7 percent year-on-year ($50.9 billion in January-October 2023).
