BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 2. The sales of Iran's Khorasan Steel Company increased by 63 percent during the five months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through August 21, 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through August 22, 2023), i.e. by about 150,000 tons, the statement of Iran's Khorasan Steel Company said, Trend reports.
Meanwhile, Khorasan Steel Company sold 388,159 tons of products during five months. During the same period last year, the company sold 238,173 tons of products.
The company's revenue rose by nearly 39 trillion rials (about $92.7 million) to 91.5 trillion rials (about $218 million) during the five months.
During the mentioned period, Khorasan Steel Company produced about 1.83 million tons of products. The company's production increased by 18 percent compared to the same period last year. Thus, in the same period last year, the company's production amounted to 1.55 million tons.
To note, the Iranian Khorasan Steel Company's plant produces 600,000 tons of steel layers (sheets), 1.4 million tons of steel products, 1.6 million tons of sponge iron, and 2.5 million tons of pellets. About 5,000 people are employed in this company.
