BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 1.Iran's Sabanour Industrial and Mining Development Company has set a new record in mining (iron ore) production in the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024) compared to 2 years earlier (from March 21 through September 22, 2022), the executive director of Iran's Sabanour Industrial and Mining Development Company Alireza Mousavi said, Trend reports.
According to him, Sabanour has produced about 2.37 million tons of minerals during the six months (from March 20 through September 21, 2024). While 2 years ago, the company's mineral production for six months (from March 21 through September 22, 2022) was about 2.12 million tons.
Mousavi added that the company produced 1.51 million tons of iron ore pellets during the six months. While three years ago, the company's production of iron ore pellets was 1.46 million tons in six months (from March 21 through September 22, 2021).
The official noted that the company produced 832,000 tons of iron ore concentrate during the six months. The company's iron ore concentrate was 711,000 tons during six months (from March 20 through September 21, 2020) four years ago.
To note, the Iranian Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company was established in 1996. This company currently has two mines in Kurdistan province and one in Hamadan province in Iran.
