Iran's Qazvin province exports its products to numerous countries - official

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 8. The products manufactured in industrial enterprises of Qazvin Province, located in the north of Iran, were exported to 11 countries during the six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024), the chairman of Iran's Qazvin Province Industries, Mining, and Trade Organization Mohsun Rostami told reporters, Trend reports.

According to him, products from Qazvin province were exported to Iraq, Türkiye, Afghanistan, India, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Syria, the UAE, Armenia, Uzbekistan, and Russia for six months.

Rostami added that 342,000 tons of products worth $224 million were exported from Qazvin province.

“The exported products were mainly molybdenum hydroxide, sulfuric acid, potatoes, iron and steel products, detergents, etc.,” he said.

The official stated that 75,000 tons of products worth $472 million were imported to Qazvin province during the six months. These products were different types of compressors, production equipment spare parts, etc. The products were imported from China, UAE, Türkiye, Germany, Singapore, Italy, India, Belgium, Taiwan, Switzerland, and South Korea.

Iran exported 70 million tons of non-oil products worth $25.8 billion during the six months. Compared to the same period last year, the export of products increased by 6.5 percent in value and 3.5 percent in weight.
