BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 28. Iranian Khorasan Steel Company's net profit decreased by 5 percent during the first six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through September 22, 2023).
The data obtained by Trend from the Khorasan steel company showed that the revenue of the steel company amounted to 27.8 trillion rials (about $62 million) during the six months.
Khorasan Steel Company's total sales amounted to 120 trillion rials (about $270 million) for the six months. The company's sales value increased by 41 percent compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, Iran's Khorasan Steel Company plant produces 600,000 tons of steel sheets (plates), 1.4 million tons of steel products, 1.6 million tons of sponge iron, and 2.5 million tons of pellets annually. A total of 5,000 people are employed in this company.
To note, Khorasan Steel Company has produced about 1.83 million tons of products during the five months (from March 20 through August 21, 2024). The company's production increased by 18 percent compared to the same period last year. Thus, in the same period last year, the company's production was 1.55 million tons.
