BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 10. Exports from Iran's Khuzestan Province to Iraq have increased by 224 percent in value and 54 percent in weight during the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through March 20, 2025) compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024), Behrouz Gharabeigi, the head of province customs, told reporters, Trend reports.
In a statement to local media, Garabeygi revealed that the province exported goods worth approximately $3.45 billion, totaling around 10.4 million tons, to Iraq.
The primary products exported included natural gas, propane, polyethylene, pentane, steel ingots, rebar, and raffinate, among others.
The report of the Iranian Customs Administration shows that Iran exported 152 million tons of non-oil products worth $57.8 billion during the last Iranian year, meaning a year-on-year growth of 15.6 percent in value and 10 percent in weight.
