This Iranian year (started on March 21, 2018), the investments worth 1.53 trillion rials (about $36.5 million) have been made to develop agricultural products processing industry in Iran’s northern Gulustan province, Eyd Mohammed Faruqi, head of Food and Agricultural Products Processing Department of the Gulustan province, said.
These investments are intended for 22 projects, Faruqi added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.
He added that 520 people will be employed in Gulustan after the implementation of the projects.
There are 823 enterprises in the province, capable of producing three million tons of products a year.
