Austria grants 5,000 doses of Astrazeneca coronavirus vaccine to Georgia, Trend reports via Georgian media.
“Happy to inform that 5,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines handed as a gift to Georgia by Austria safely landed in Tbilisi airport. Austria demonstrated true friendship and solidarity! Many thanks to Austrian counterparts Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria, every person involved! Much appreciated!”Georgian Ambassador to Austria Ketevan Tsikhelashvili posted on her Facebook page.
Georgia kicks off mass COVID-19 vaccination on July 5.
The country received additional one million doses of Chinese Sinopharm and Sinovac jabs on July 2. Up to three hundred and fifty COVID-19 vaccination teams across the country are ready to start the immunization, the country’s Health Ministry reported.
