Aat least 19 people were killed and 20 others injured when a bus collided head-on with a truck Monday evening in Guna district of Madhya Pradesh, central India, police said, Xinhua reported.
The accident occurred around 1700 pm on the Agra-Mumbai highway, said police.
Ten people were killed on the spot while the rest succumbed to their injuries on way to hospital, said police.
The injured have been admitted to the Guna district hospital, police said.
Road accident rate in India is among the highest in the world with some 100,000 people killed every year, according to official estimate.
