Georgia’s Foreign Policy towards Russia to Remain Unchanged, Foreign Ministry says

Georgia, Tbilisi, 10 Dec. / corr. Trend N. Kirtskhalia / The Georgian Foreign Ministry policy won't be changed, Grigol Vashadze, newly appointed Georgian foreign minister, told media on 10 Dec. He was introduced to Foreign Ministry staff by prime minister Grigol Mgaloblishvili.

"We aren't going to change policy towards Russia because it is built in the right way and well-considered due to full and deep respect of this country's interests, Vashadze said.

Giga Bokeria remained in the post of the first deputy minister and Nino Kalandadze - deputy minister, he said.

"Two new deputies, David Jalagania charged with the EU issues and Aleksandr Nalbandov, will also be appointed," Vashadze said.

New ambassadors of Georgia to the USA and NATO have not been appointed yet, he said.
