ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 4. Samsung Electronics and Silk Road Electronics company have signed an agreement to produce the current lineup of Samsung TVs, including premium models, Trend reports.
The collaboration aims to meet the growing demand for high-tech products in Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries. The new production line will be located at Silk Road Electronics' facility in the city of Saransk, Karaganda region, Kazakhstan.
"Samsung Electronics, as a recognized global leader in consumer electronics, not only implements advanced technologies and provides a unique user experience but also strives to be closer to its users," said Chung Eugene, President of Samsung Electronics Central Eurasia.
Localization of production will also contribute to strengthening
industrial infrastructure in Kazakhstan and creating new jobs.
"This cooperation opens new opportunities for our company and for
the industrial development of Kazakhstan as a whole," emphasized
Alexander Kritsky, director of Silk Road Electronics.
Notably, the launch of the production line is scheduled for the second quarter of 2025. The first Kazakhstan-made Samsung TVs will go on sale in the second half of that year. Silk Road Electronics is a modern Kazakh company specializing in the production, sale, and service of high-quality household appliances.
