"The business climate index in January 2025 showed improvement. Assessments of both current and future business conditions improved. As a result, the business climate index increased to 12.8. The 'hours' indicator of the business cycle remains in the growth zone," the statement said.

To note, BAI (Business Activity Index) is an indicator that characterizes the state of the economy in the real sector, allowing for the examination of economic trends, critical points, and turning points in the business cycle. BAI is based on the results of a monthly survey of enterprises conducted by the National Bank of Kazakhstan and includes a set of responses from enterprises to questions about actual changes in their economic indicators and expectations for future changes.
