BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 18. The value of metal ore production in Azerbaijan reached 241.4 million manat ($142 million) from January through May 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that this figure marks an increase of 104 million manat ($61.1 million), or 75.7 percent, compared to the same period last year.
To note, the total value of production in Azerbaijan's mining industry amounted to 16.2 billion manat ($9.5 billion) from January through May 2025. This figure decreased by 2.4 percent year on year.
The field's main product, marketable oil production, was 11.4 million tons, while commercial natural gas production was 16.2 billion cubic meters. Compared to the first five months of last year, marketable oil production decreased by 4.9 percent, while commercial gas production increased by 1.7 percent.
