ASTANA, Kazakhstan, June 19. Kazakhstani household appliance manufacturer Silk Road Electronics will begin production of Samsung-branded televisions and washing machines starting August 2025, Trend reports.
The agreement marks a significant milestone for the domestic enterprise, which has been operating for nearly two years. To date, Silk Road Electronics has produced over 270,000 units, including TVs, mini-ovens, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, and kitchen hoods for the local and CIS markets.
According to company director Alexander Kritsky, the cooperation with Samsung follows the company’s transition to small-unit, full-cycle assembly, enabling higher localization of production. A stamping shop is expected to launch in 2026, further deepening local content.
Currently employing 300 people, the company plans to expand its workforce to 1,100 by 2028. Future goals include broadening the product range and entering new export markets.
