Iran exported 28.6 million tons of non-oil goods, worth $12.536 billion, during the first four months of the current calendar year which began on March 21, IRNA reported.
The exports rose by 11.5 percent in weight and 5 percent in value year on year.
Industrial, mineral, and agricultural products, carpets, and handicrafts constituted the main items exported.
Moreover, imports of non-oil goods amounted to 9.12 million tons, valued at $12.909 billion in the 4-month period, showing 27.5 percent fall in weight and 26.5 percent fall in value year on year.
In July 2012, Iranian Economy Minister Shamseddin Hosseini said Iran conducted economic transactions with 150 countries in the previous Iranian calendar year (March 2011-March 2012). And about 80 countries transited their products through Iran, he added.
