BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 13. Iran exported 25.5 million tons of goods (excluding gas condensate) worth more than $9.91 billion through the customs of the Bushehr Province, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Deputy Director of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Bushehr Province Abolghasem Mohammadzadeh said, Trend reports citing the organization.
The deputy said that exports increased by 73 percent in value and 6 percent in volume compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).
“Whereas, including gas condensate, about 25.8 million tons of goods worth $10.1 billion were exported through the province's customs for the last Iranian year. This is an increase of 67 percent in value compared to the preceding Iranian year,” he added.
Mohammadzadeh noted that the exported goods through the province’s customs were mainly petrochemical products, gas condensate, minerals, fish, greens and vegetables and etc.
The goods were mainly exported to China, the UAE, Turkey, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Nigeria, Brazil, Mozambique and Qatar, according to the official.
“In addition, a total of 529,000 tons of goods worth $1.48 billion were imported through customs of Bushehr Province within last Iranian year, which is an increase of 22 percent in value and 6 percent in volume compared to the preceding Iranian year,” Mohammadzadeh said.
The deputy director stressed that tea, car and motorcycle spare parts, tires, rice, bananas and so on were the main imported goods through the province’s customs.
He also pointed out that the goods were mainly imported from China, the UAE, India, the Philippines, Thailand, Germany, Turkey, South Korea, Japan and Russia.
