A mission of the Saudi Development Fund (SDF) headed by Mahammad Suliman Abdulla al Dalilan, senior economist, will visit Baku on 18 September to familiarize himself with the implementation of the SDF-financed projects in Azerbaijan
The Government told Trend that experts of the Fund will hold meetings with the relevant ministries and administrations under three projects: construction of 5 schools in Baku, reconstruction of the Velvelichay-Takhtakorpu section of the Samur-Absheron Canal and the Yevlakh-Ganja automobile road

Under the first project the construction of schools is complete and SDF allocated a $9.5m loan in this respect.
The tender under the second project will be announced following co-ordination of its terms with the experts of the Fund. The SDF allotted $18m for the construction of the Velvelichay-Takhtakorpu canal.
The Saudi mission is visiting at the invitation of the Transport Ministry with whom major work will be done under the road project. They presented a $13m credit agreement and now it is undergoing expert estimation. The terms of the credit agreement will be considered with the Mission.
